![]() Then later you hear there is a fourth dimension: time. This is one of my very favorite films of the year, and this trailer is much better than the US one released last month. Paterson stars Adam Driver as a humble bus driver living in Paterson, New Jersey with his wife, played by the wonderful Golshifteh Farahani. During his free time he writes poems, and it turns out he's immensely talented even though he doesn't admit it. I wrote in my review in Cannes that the film is . Cinema at its very finest. This also stars William Jackson Harper and Masatoshi Nagase. I really love this film so much, and I hope everyone sees this. But it is me that still cannot see any of what is coming. ![]() Bleed for This movie reviews & Metacritic score: Vinny “The Pazmanian Devil” Pazienza (Miles Teller), a local Providence boxer, shot to stardom after win. VINNY PAZ TALKS ABOUT THE ONLY GUY THAT CAN BEAT FLOYD MAYWEATHER TODAY DONTAESBOXINGNATION - Duration: 1:49. Dontae's Boxing Nation 23,792 views. Best to get it out and available now while people are in the mood for some creepy horror. Ruth Wilson stars as a young nurse who moves into a secluded old house to care for an elderly, reclusive horror novelist who barely even acknowledges her. As expected, not all is right and some kind of malevolent force seems present with them. Things take a turn for the worse after she reads the woman's novel. Also starring Paula Prentiss, Lucy Boynton and Bob Balaban. I like the cinematography in this, the bold framing makes things seem even creepier. Aaron Paul stars, along with Annabelle Wallis, Garret Dillahunt, Valerie Tian, Zachary Knighton and Terry Chen. When his girlfriend goes missing, David must track down her whereabouts after he realizes she's not who she was pretending to be. This looks like an intriguing mystery thriller, with some action kicking in at the end of this trailer. It reminds me a bit of The Vanishing, but hopefully there's some unique twists to this. I'm intrigued by this trailer, though not totally sold on it yet - but I'm certainly curious. Give it a look below. The poetic film is a fantasy romance set on the Yangtze River, and was actually filmed on the river itself. As artistic as it looks, there's also a greyness they've captured of the modern world. The stunning cinematography won a Silver Bear award in Berlin for cinematographer Ping Bin Lee's . Crosscurrent stars Hao Qin, Zhilei Xin, and Kai Tan. Uncle Howard is made by Aaron Brookner, nephew of American director Howard Brookner, a little- known but well- regarded filmmaker who died of AIDS in the late 8. In the film, Aaron goes on a journey to . It's a very fascinating, very personal doc but should be inspiring to other filmmakers. It's not my favorite doc I've seen this year, but it's one of the better ones. We ran the first trailer for Neruda back in May, just before it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. It has since earned lots of rave reviews at numerous festivals all over the world. Luis Gnecco plays the famous poet Pablo Neruda, and Gael Garc. This is one of the most truly poetic films I have ever seen, with so much to take in and appreciate between the dialogue and visual sensibilities. Netflix has debuted an official trailer for the documentary The Ivory Game, a powerful and vitally important doc about elephants and the horrors they're suffering at the hands of ivory traders. This is one of the best documentaries you might see all year, it's intense and well- made and pulls you into the story. Not only does this examine the ivory industry and how buyers and sellers are complicit in the poaching of elephants, but it also follows a group of wildlife activists in Africa. They go on a hunt to find and arrest one of the top poachers, and it's riveting to follow them on the journey. Michael Shannon plays a top notch chef living in Las Vegas, who meets and hooks up with the fairly broken and troubled Lola, played by Imogen Poots. The two get mixed up in various sexual encounters while dealing with other personal problems in their own lives. I actually saw this at the Sundance Film Festival, where it premiered earlier this year, and it's fairly forgettable. The story is all over the place, it relies too much on the sex without much substance elsewhere, and the performances are fine but don't stand out in anyway. Also featuring Justin Long, Michael Nyqvist and Rosanna Arquette. If you're still curious, give it a look. Amy Adams stars, along with Jake Gyllenhaal, in this twisted thriller about an art gallery owner haunted by her ex- husband's novel, a violent thriller she interprets as a veiled threat and a symbolic revenge tale. The cast includes Michael Shannon, Aaron Taylor- Johnson, Isla Fisher, Ellie Bamber, Armie Hammer, Laura Linney, Andrea Riseborough and Michael Sheen. The release of this horror- thriller was pushed from September to December late this year, though I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. Aaron Eckhart stars as a scientist out to prove that possession is a disease, and he is introduced to a young boy more powerfully possessed than he's ever encountered. The cast includes Carice Van Houten, Catalina Sandino Moreno, David Mazouz, Keir O’Donnell, Matt Nable and John Pirruccello. More possession horror to feast on if this is your thing. Meet Barry. Netflix has unveiled an impressive 3. Barack Obama film out this year, this one titled Barry. The other one is titled Southside with You, and profiles Barack's very first date with Michelle in Chicago. The cast includes Anya Taylor- Joy, Ashley Judd, Jenna Elfman, Ellar Coltrane, Jason Mitchell and John Benjamin Hickey. This sells me on the film completely and it's only 3. Obama's face, just him walking around campus and New York, and I love it. Simple, sleek, good vibes, nice work Netflix. The film is about a mentally challenged man named Shonzi, played by Linas Phillips, who moves in with his brother Todd, played by Timm Sharp. He now lives with his girlfriend Lindsay, played by the always wonderful Melanie Lynskey, and things become awkward when Shonzi wants to get more involved in their relationship, threatening to reveal secrets about Todd's past. As weird as this sounds, the trailer actually promises a charming, quirky, enjoyably unique film.
